‘Concert in Focus’ Documentary Photography Group That was the first plan ‘Concert Corona Photo Project’ which one The first national lockdown began in March 2020.

Now that it hopes to reach its conclusion, they are embarking on a new project documenting culture and interests in the concert area. You can still see pictures of the original project here:

This month we are highlighting images from the Corona project that showcase the culture, as well as the first image of the new project.

1 – Biking Viking (NE) – The Vikings are a group of motorcyclists, stealth walkers, pipe and drummers who raise funds for brain tumor research. Each year he usually performed at county shows and other venues, raising money for the Brain Tumor Research Charity. No epidemics were reported during the epidemic, but they still entertained various local care homes and managed to raise some money by making and selling Viking themed cards, crafts, models and even jewelry. Stay Currently the same group is performing at various events and venues around our area but this time in Santa’s costume – don’t miss them!

2- Creative kitchenMany people were evacuated or forced to work from home during epidemics. Gemma decided to change her career and adapt to the changing restrictions and set up a ‘creative kitchen’. She first taught children online home baking, but returned to the classroom with permission.

3- Dance classes Studios, such as The Pauline Cook School of Dance in the concert, managed to open their doors only for a short time between the lockdowns. However, despite always being resourceful, they have maintained some teaching for their dancers through live zoom lessons. The photo shows Jack teaching a lesson in the studio by zooming in.

4- Jewelry making classesRos opened its doors in May 2021 after Stage 3 of the Governments Roadmap of Recovery. It was the first time she could welcome customers to her Silver Jewelry Workshop, which she runs at Concert, the No. 1 industrial estate. Its premises are coded and PPE is provided locally with home-baked cakes.

5 – Crafting Club – Many church halls and community centers run craft clubs, and St. John’s on Snow’s Edge is no different. Even women have used their craftsmanship to make Corona-19 commemorative quilts for display in the church.

6- Music lessonsIan of Concert Music Tuition continued to tutor his students through the ‘Zoom’ during epidemics, but the general interaction was clearly not the same. He was definitely looking forward to welcoming students to his studio in April 2021 when we photographed him.

7 – Pebble painting – EADuring the first lockdown, pebble painting became a popular activity to keep a smile on everyone’s face. Helen is a very creative person who painted and hid stones in her neighborhood to find people.

8 – Pantomam – Is there a better way to put a smile on your face than to see a pantomime? The CBS Theater Group has been ‘trampling the boards’ for 80 years and will be releasing Aladdin at the Concert Empire this January (10)Th – 15Th 7.15pm, Saturday 15 with MatineeTh 2.15 pm). The photo shows some of the cast during rehearsals at the Blackhall Club.
