A super-fit grandmother who regularly misunderstands her 20-year-old granddaughter has revealed how people can “reverse the aging process” by doing six simple things.
Leslie Maxwell, 64, from Melbourne, Australia, is known for her incredible personality, exercising five times a week to maintain her rock hard abs.
However, other people who want to follow in the footsteps of an award-winning grandmother – who has about 30 fitness titles – don’t have to work hard at it.
The 8-year-old grandmother, who previously said she was attracted to men more than her granddaughter, shared a simple routine that included six simple steps – and said that any “aging process” Can reverse. “
Leslie said: “I definitely think women come into their own as we get older – more confident and sexy, especially if we are fit and healthy.
“We can actually reverse the aging process through effective exercise in addition to clean eating.
“It’s up to us to build muscle and burn fat and have a healthy lean body.
“There are two ways to age – a historical age from your birth date to the present.
“And the second is the biological age, which is more exciting! We can build a smaller body – lean, strong, healthy.
“It makes us more confident and sexy.”
Sounds easy but how does it actually work?
Leslie, who works out with her 20-year-old granddaughter, Tia, and is regularly mistaken for her sister, says it’s never too late to start your fitness journey. Leslie herself won her first show at the age of 49.
Her term physique also helps her stay confident in her love life, Cougar revealed, adding that she is currently dating a younger man.
He said: “The man I’m looking at is younger than me but I never think about it.
“Confidence is a victory for me.
“If a man is brave enough to go straight to me and look me in the eye and ask me, he is a very brave man.
“Nowadays men are very shy about contacting women because it seems like everything is done online.
“Anyone can be romantic online but nothing like the real thing.”
As far as the type of men she prefers, Grandma needs someone who can match her energy for life.
Leslie said: “He doesn’t have to be a gym man, but I appreciate a healthy body.
Even my first boyfriend in my teens was younger than me. I guess I’ve always been that way.
“I don’t mind the term ‘cougar’ because it’s a wild cat … and we should all feel wild at times.”
And Leslie will let her granddaughter choose a man for herself, if she becomes single again in the future.
She said: “Yeah, I trust Tia’s choice of men and if I was single she would let me set on a date.”
As far as Valentine’s Day is concerned, she will spend it with her new wife.
Leslie added: “It’s a romantic day.
“I like to feel loved and sexy that day. So yes, I will go out.
“Let’s just say a little bit of romance goes a long way …”
According to Super Fit Grandma, six steps for a young body
1. Avoid eating wheat and sugar.
2. No junk food – or cheat food once a week. This can help keep you on track and ensure that your journey is a series of sprints rather than marathons.
3. Make sure you eat enough protein with each meal. I have to eat about 100 grams a day, for example, one egg contains 6 grams of protein.
4. Learn three good weight training exercises. For a back like a dumbbell row. One for the chest (DB chest press) and one for the legs like plié squats.
Now you are on your way! You can add to your weight training program later; start with light weight and become more confident and active.
5. Take a brisk walk outside, if possible. This is great for burning body fat and still maintaining muscle mass for which you have worked hard with your weight training.
6. Be consistent.
