You may have heard of the famous ‘Pig Beach’ in the Bahamas – where you can swim with the creatures.
Maybe it’s on your bucket list for a future trip.
But it turns out that there is another pig beach in Mexico.
In fact, it is home to some orphaned pigs – who are now thriving after a difficult start to life.
Pig Beach, found in Progresso within the state of Yucatan, was born when local authorities rescued eight small pigs.
And now the animals are a hit with the locals.
Every afternoon, the pigs are taken out of their pens and they are free to swim and roam – not to mention attract the attention of visitors.
Pigs will stay on the shore until they are fully grown – and when they reach adulthood, they are moved to the place of larger animals.
The team behind Pig Beach says they hope the offspring of the rescued pigs will be reunited in the future.
