A MUM who allows her children to drop out of school has defended her parents, insisting that sometimes self-care is needed.

Nicole went to TikTok to share a video in which she explained her thinking behind allowing her girls to miss school days.

“I let my kids drop out of school,” she said Started. “Yes, you listened to me.

“If they give me a good reason, I’ll let them go.

She went on to explain that the day before the girls’ day, she had documented that her youngest daughter had received three stitches in her forehead after a “really bad mess”.

“So instead of putting her in school all day, I took her to Girls’ Day, because sometimes you just need a little bit of self-care,” Nicole concluded.

Although his entry was somewhat controversial, the majority of viewers who commented on the post praised his stay at home for his views.

To which Nicole replied: “Children need days of self-care as much as adults need them. I’m glad your mama listened.”
