Now that both fighters are at the end of their careers, Khan and Brooke have set their ego aside at the negotiating table to give boxing fans what they have been doing for so long.

Khan has not been in action for more than two years, the last time he defeated Billy Dub in a ridiculous fight in the summer of 2019.

He had previously lost the World Title fight for the Pound against Pound Star Terrence Crawford at Welterweight, with whom he had been training in Nebraska before his clash with Brooke.

And it was Crawford who last fought Brooke in November 2020, when Bud stopped Special K in the fourth round of his Las Vegas match-up.

Now bitter rivals will put it all on the line when they meet in the middle of the ring on February 19 at AO Arena.

Brooke is a favorite of most bookies, but before the bumper showdown, experts are saying:

“Kellbrook looks fresh, so my money will be on Kylebrook.”

Connor Bean (Welterweight rival)

“I think Khan, I really do, I know his chin and punch resistance is gone but I think he will overtake Brooke.

“I always thought of Kyle but now I think Khan, we’ll see who has what’s left.”

Sean Porter (former IBF welterweight champion defeated by Brooke in 2014)

“They are not what they used to be.

“After fighting Brooke, I told Brock to win, but now I think it’s a similar fight.”

George Grouse (former Super Middleweight Champion)

“I’m excited and it’s still as exciting as it was five years ago. They’re not at their peak, but it’s still just as attractive. I think it’s equal.

“I think, as great as Khan was, I used to like Brooke, but now he has more miles than the clock and he’s got significant spells out of color.”

Khabib Nurmagomedov (UFC legend)

“I know Khan has a tough opponent but this is going to be a close fight. My opinion is that it will be a close fight, a very close fight.

“Khan has a tough opponent, but he can beat him.”
