An MUM has caused an uproar online after chanting slogans on World Book Day and calling the occasion “meaningless, expensive, painful pain.”

“World Book Day is a meaningless, costly pain for working parents.” Written As the subject of the post, before adding: “Does it matter the level of reading?

“As a single working mother, I find it a complete pain and expensive one too.”

Others are quick to point out that many people insist that preparing for the day is not expensive.

One person wrote, “Kids enjoy it and it’s a day to find books and raise reading profiles.”

“There are a lot of things that are a pain in the ass but they don’t make sense.

“Just dress your kids in their own clothes and find them a character who doesn’t have any special clothes – it’s not really that difficult.”

“I think it’s a great opportunity to encourage kids to enjoy books,” said another.

“Part of the problem is that a lot of parents see it as some kind of competition and make the costumes more complicated than they need to be.”

“I work at a school and I like it,” read the third comment.

“It’s important to discuss books all day and see the kids get excited about the books.”

But some people agreed with the poster, with the text: “I think it’s a burden.”

Another commented, “I hate it.

“One million children have something painted on their foreheads and their glasses have never been read.

“Or dressed like Mrs. Heinch.”

“World Book Day is a ridiculous idea that in my opinion does nothing to encourage reading and is just another thing on the list of things that puts pressure on the majority of parents.” Someone else wrote.

While another person jokingly advised: “Don’t send them in, say they went as invisible men / women.”

This year, World Book Day is being celebrated on Thursday, March 3, and will mark its 25th anniversary.

In other parenting news, this mother allows her children to drop out of school if they give her a good reason.

The mother began training her baby when she was only three weeks old.
