The single mother moved into her home in May last year – and saw problems at home for the first time in December.

He told Plymouth Live “We have water coming from under the walls, it’s freezing and there’s rot in our little boy’s room.”

“We saw her for the first time at Christmas because my grandparents lived with us and when my grandfather got out of bed he put his hand on one of the walls and she was getting wet.”

Chan claims that she has been electrocuted twice due to water leaking into her electrical socket from a leak in her shower – and says they are especially dangerous for her baby.

But an electrician sent by Plymouth Community Homes allegedly accused Chen of “drawing” a mold with a pen on his son’s bedroom wall – and that was the only step he took. Which is to purify the water.

Carl Brazier, director of Homes and Neighborhoods, said alternative accommodation was arranged when he was notified.

He said: “When we first found out about the problem, we arranged alternative accommodation for Chantelle and her son while we thoroughly investigated the problem.

“Since then, we have repaired the roof and checked that the roof is not leaking, as well as adding extra insulation to the elevator, it has all dried up.”

But Chan claims that a housing officer also accused him of spraying water on the walls.

He said: “They sent one of the (PCH) housing officers out to see me and he accused me of spraying water on the walls.

“My mother said, ‘Joe wakes up and thinks I’m going to water my walls today.’

Chen says the allegations upset him as well as “stupid and embarrassing.”

Carl Brazier added: “Chantell’s home has been visited by electricians, repair supervisors, senior housing officers and contractors who have confirmed that the fittings and insulation on top of the fuse board are also dry, so we still have it. Trying to figure out where the water is coming from.

“We are continuing to work with Chantel to find the cause of the problem, our housing management and repair teams visited again earlier this week and we are committed to resolving this issue as soon as possible. “

Now Chen’s life has become so bad that she has returned to her parents’ home with her son.

He said: “They have told me they will change the roof but they will not tell me when it is because it is not an emergency.

They don’t know where it is coming from so they are blaming me.

“It’s so wet we had to go back to our mom and dad’s house.”

A spokesman for Plymouth Community Homes said: “We are working closely and sympathetically with Chantal and in the meantime are offering to help her get to the bottom of the issues she is facing. Is.
