One woman revealed that her boyfriend had made her a walk-in wardrobe, but she was badly trolled by people who said she was “cheap” for not spending 6 6,000 on one.
Influencing the design and lifestyle of the home, Megan was trolled because she decided not to spend £ 6,000 on hiring a company to create her own custom walk-in wardrobe.
Instead, Megan’s boyfriend made a wardrobe for her using some IKEA units and some basic building materials.
The total cost of the handmade wardrobe was about £ 1,000.
He said: “The most expensive part of making a wardrobe was the IKEA unit and it cost about £ 600. The rest of the material came in at around £ 400.
Megan loves the wardrobe, and it costs only a tenth of an alternative, but the trolls were furious that the young couple had decided to go for a more affordable option.
One wrote: “You’re just cheap. You can’t afford 6K to get something you want so you have a full s *** … It’s not your fault but don’t say you’re happy. Are, ”wrote one commentator.
Reacting to the critical audience, Megan said: “Such comments really surprise me.
“Just because we decided not to spend £ 6,000 on wardrobe doesn’t mean we can’t have it. We decided to take a cheaper option because it really isn’t a necessity.”
“Yeah Al that sounds pretty crap to me, Looks like BT aint for me either, Looks like BT aint for me either.
“And we certainly weren’t planning to spend a lot of money on it because, let’s face it, it’s for storing clothes.”
Megan’s response received more than 250,000 likes and many commenters supported Megan’s behavior.
“6k on a closet or 6k on holidays and memories … difficult decision”, one viewer joked.
Another said: “God, do people really hate closets?”
“Someone is always in a hurry to make a ‘cheap’ comment. It’s easy to spend other people’s money, isn’t it?”
