Viewers on Coronation Street have noticed that the actress, who plays Linda Hancock, has already appeared in a series of other hits.
Linda, Joseph Brown’s charming grandmother, returned to the ITV show this week in full blue to see her grandson.
Glamorous Linda is played by Blackpool-born actress Jacqueline Leonard.
And some eagle-eyed viewers immediately noticed that Jacqueline had appeared on other TV shows, including Standers.
One fan wrote: “Corey fans … did you know that Linda played Joe Wicks’ mother in #Eastenders? … I knew she looked familiar.”
Another shout: “The woman who played Linda in #Corrie looks familiar to me and tonight I recognized her voice. I just realized that this is the same woman who played Joe Wicks’ mother Lorraine in EastEnders. Had played the role of! “
Another viewer said, “Who’s Katie’s mom from my age and this is from #coronationstreet #corrie #estenders #classiceastenders which is Wix Mum,” said another viewer.
Jacqueline played Sarah Preston in Peak Practice, which ran from 1993-1996.
The 56-year-old also appeared on East Enders between 1996-1997 as Lorraine, the mother of Joe Weeks (Paul Nichols).
During her year at Square, Lorraine worked behind the bar at Queen Wick Pub and began a romance with Grant Mitchell (Ross Camp).
Actress Jacqueline has appeared in Corey before in 2015.
Linda is the mother of Easy Armstrong and the late Katie Armstrong.
She was first married to Owen Armstrong and is the grandmother of Jack Windas as well as Joseph.
Viewers will remember that she took her daughters Katie and Joseph to Portugal before Katie died in a car accident.
Jacqueline is a busy woman, as she also played the role of Dr. Caroline Powers in Doctors from 2000 to 2001.
She also starred as Valerie Holden in the Holy of Holies in 2007 and Lydia Murdoch in River City from 2007 to 2019.
The actress has also appeared in A Time to Dance, Phil Stretch, Inspector Morris, Ghosts, The Bill, Holby City, Waterloo Road, Casualty and The Shore.
